Brown Boys Brunch
The Ryan Network held our 2nd Brown Boys Brunch on Saturday, May 6th at Prohibition. This event is a quarterly empowerment series focusing on HIV prevention within the African American and Latino communities. The goal is to provide a safe space for young MSM of color to learn more about healthcare services offered and also engage in conversation with individuals from their community. Individuals enjoyed food and drinks while engaging in honest, open conversations about SEX!
Dr. Demetre Daskalakis, Assistant Commissioner of the Bureau of HIV/AIDS Prevention and Control at the NYCDOHMH, Courtney Johnson, Supervising Health Educator, and Kalyani-Aindri Sanchez, PrEP Ambassador/PrEP Network Coordinator, were the guest panelists for the event. Questions were asked around sex, prevention, love, commitment and health/wellness. The next Brown Boys Brunch will take place in August!
