Deputy Director

The William F. Ryan Community Health Network is a group of not-for-profit, federally qualified health centers that delivers high quality, affordable and comprehensive medical care to diverse and underserved communities. We are currently seeking a Deputy Director for our Ryan/Chelsea-Clinton Community Health Center located in Midtown West Manhattan.

Position Overview:

Under the direction of the Executive Director manage the day-to-day operations of the Ryan/Chelsea- Clinton Community Health Center. This includes, but is not limited to, oversight of Patient Services and Facilities. This work is carried out in support of the mission and goals of the Ryan Network.

Some essential functions include the following, just to name a few:

  • Supervise and coordinate the work of departments which report directly to the Deputy Director, and others as assigned. Ensure that all departmental operations run smoothly and efficiently.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with other supervisors, department heads and Ryan Network leadership on projects and initiatives.
  • Coordinate staff meetings, and oversee ad-hoc committees, as assigned by the Executive Director.
  • Serve as the Center’s Corporate Compliance Officer.

    Minimum Experience/and or Skills Required

  • Effective communication and writing skills
  • Proven track record of organization, attention to detail and ability to respond promptly to requests,

    anticipate organizational needs, and maintain efficient office operations.

  • Demonstrated commitment to customer service
  • Strong computer literacy with proficiency in standard office software/hardware such as Microsoft

    Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Public Health, Business or other related concentration
  • Proven track record of analytical and qualitative approach to problem solving
  • Prior experience with electronic health record, preferably EClinical Works (eCW)
  • Experience in union/labor relations
