Can I get a same day appointment if my medical need is urgent?

You can call (212) 749-1820 for a “same day sick visit.” Appointments are available on a first-come, first-served basis, depending on practitioner availability.

Can I choose which provider I want to see?

Yes. When making an appointment, please request the next available time with the provider you wish to see. Appointment availability will vary based on your provider.

What should I bring with me to register?

To register as a new patient, we ask that you bring:

  • Photo identification, if available
  • Your insurance card, if you are insured
  • Proof of income (e.g., pay stubs, tax return, or a letter from employer) to determine whether you qualify for our sliding fee discount program
  • Proof of residence (e.g., lease, utility bills, other bills addressed to you)

To ensure the best possible continuity of care, please bring the following documents if you have them:

  • A copy of your medical record
  • A list of your current medications and your medication bottles, including prescription medications, over-the counter medications, herbal supplements, vitamins, and eye drops
  • For children, a copy of their birth certificate and immunization record

The Ryan Network also offers a sliding-fee scale based on a family’s size and income.

If I do not have insurance, how much will my visit cost?

For those families without insurance, we offer a sliding fee scale based upon a family’s size and income. Laboratory work, general x-rays and EKGs are included in the fee for each visit. There is a low cost pharmacy plan for uninsured patients.

Can Ryan help me apply for insurance?

Yes, the Ryan patient services staff can assist qualified patients in applying for many public insurance programs like Medicare, Medicaid, Child Health Plus, Family Health Plus, Medicaid for Pregnant Women and ADAP. Ryan also has Certified Application Counselors on staff to assist you in applying for insurance through the health care marketplace.
