On Tuesday, September 20th 2016, elected officials, community representatives, and government officials joined the leadership of the William F. Ryan Community Health Network to formally open the Ryan/Frederick Douglass Community Health Center, at 128th Street and Frederick Douglass Boulevard in the heart of Harlem. The Center, funded in part by a Community Health Center Startup Support Grant from the New York City Economic Development Corporation’s Community Health Expansion Program, as well as through the HIIP (Health Infrastructure Investment Program) from the federal Health and Human Services’ HRSA division, offers high-quality primary healthcare and support services to medically underserved members of the Harlem community and beyond.
