Community HealthCorps

The Community HealthCorps is the largest health-focused, national AmeriCorps program that promotes health care for America’s underserved, while developing tomorrow’s health care workforce. Since 2006, the Ryan Network has been proud to be incorporated in this program, and currently has 15 AmeriCorps members serving patients across our Network.

Community Health Outreach (CHO)

The Ryan Center’s Community Health Outreach Program provides primary medical care and social services on-site at several transitional residences and family shelters.

Mobile HIV Testing

The Prevention, Education and Outreach Departments of William F. Ryan and Ryan-NENA provide free, rapid HIV testing at various locations in the community on our specially designed outreach vans.

School Based Health Centers

The School Based Health Center Program provides comprehensive health care, health education and counseling in local public schools. Young people seen through this program are also referred to Ryan for those services that are not provided in their school.

Speakers Bureau

Through its Speakers Bureau, the Ryan Network’s professional staff offer their time, free of charge, to speak to community groups about a variety of relevant, health related topics.

Reach Out and Read

The Ryan Network Pediatric Departments participate in the national Reach Out and Read program which promotes early literacy by providing new books to children every time they come in for a well-child visit from birth through 5 years of age. For more information, please visit
