Hispanic Federation
Frankie Miranda, President and CEO of the Hispanic Federation
Hispanic Federation has sought to empower and advance the Hispanic community since 1990, supporting Hispanic families and strengthening Latino-serving nonprofits through work in the areas of health, education, immigration, civic engagement, economic empowerment, and the environment. Hispanic Federation has supported a vital Health Insurance Navigator Program at Ryan Health for over two decades, ensuring that tens of thousands of families and individuals living in the Lower East Side have access to high-quality, affordable health care.
The award will be accepted by Frankie Miranda, the President and CEO of the Hispanic Federation. He is the first openly gay leader of the organization, who began his tenure in December 2019, successfully leading it through the COVID-19 pandemic, which disproportionally affected Latino communities.
