Congress has just made significant cuts to Medicaid and Affordable Care Act plans, which will impact many people’s access to healthcare. We actively opposed those cuts because we know the impact they will have on our patients. You’ll be hearing more about those policy changes in the coming months.

Ryan Health remains committed to serving you. Ryan Health was founded nearly 60 years ago, as one of the first community health centers in the US. Our guiding principle then is the same one we have today: healthcare is a right, not a privilege. I hope you feel that when you visit Ryan Health, whether at one of our neighborhood centers, at a school-based health location, at one of our community outreach centers, or in our mobile health center. We pledge to be as accessible as we can to live up to our core belief.

Our Core Work

Like New York City, Ryan Health has grown and changed over the years. We’ve expanded into new neighborhoods and now serve more than 52,000 patients from across the city. We have always provided comprehensive primary care, along with specialty services such as cardiology, nutrition, and dental care. But our work doesn’t stop at primary care. We’ve deepened our longstanding commitment to HIV/AIDS care and prevention, expanded access to behavioral health services with our Midtown Emotional Wellness Center, and are building in-house pharmacies to remove yet another barrier between you and your health.

What It Means For You

All these changes, developments, and improvements are focused on one outcome: making you healthier. That was the purpose of our founding nearly 60 years ago, and it remains so today. Ryan Health isn’t just where you see your doctor — we are your partner in health and wellness, as well as a cornerstone of the communities we serve.

As we head toward our 60th anniversary, we take pride in the work we do for New York City. We support our community, and all that makes it special. As an organization, as a community, we have grown together. The strength of our neighborhoods and the health of its people reflect on the work Ryan Health does every day. We take that commitment as seriously as we do our founding principle: healthcare is a right, not a privilege. And together, we have more work to do.

Bringing It to Your Neighborhood: National Health Center Week

To highlight our presence and commitment to all our New York City communities, next week we are celebrating National Health Center Week, which showcases the work of Community Health Centers across the country. All Ryan Health locations participate to demonstrate the work we do, along with our community partners. While the battle over access to healthcare continues, Ryan Health stands firmly with you to ensure you receive the care you deserve. Take a look at what’s happening at a Ryan Health location near you and join us in celebrating that we’re Caring for New York. Here for You.
