Honoring The Legacy of Barbra E. Minch, Former Ryan Health President & CEO

It is with a heavy heart that I write to share the news of the passing of a true pillar of our community and our former President & CEO, Barbra E. Minch.

For 35 exceptional years, Barbra was a visionary whose fierce advocacy and decades of compassionate leadership helped lay the very foundation of our organization. She did not simply manage community healthcare; she championed it as a fundamental right for every New Yorker. Her brilliant leadership, sharp execution, and unwavering commitment to mission-driven, community-based care fundamentally transformed how we serve our neighborhoods.

Under Barbra's leadership, Ryan Health expanded into new neighborhoods, developed state-of-the-art facilities, broadened access to comprehensive primary and specialty care, and strengthened its role as a trusted provider for New Yorkers. Beyond our organization, she was an advocate for federally qualified health centers, working alongside policymakers, community leaders, and healthcare partners to expand access to care for underserved communities across New York and beyond.

As we mourn this profound loss, we also celebrate the incredible legacy she leaves behind. Her impact will be felt for generations, and our organization remains fiercely committed to carrying her vision forward every single day.
