A child should see the dentist within 6 months of the appearance of their first tooth or by age one, whichever comes first.
Dental sealants are clear, protective coatings placed on back teeth. The coating prevents food from building up in the grooves of the teeth and causing dental decay. Applying dental sealants is a very effective, safe and gentle way to prevent cavities.
Our dentists refer patients to specialty services such as orthodontists and oral surgeons, as needed.
